BlueHat SMP is a semi anarchy survival server that tries to stay out of your way so you can just play.
There are no land claims and there is not some huge rulebook. You can build big bases raid other players make alliances and start wars if you want.
The rules are simple do not cheat and do not be genuinely awful to people outside the game. Everything else is pretty much allowed.
It is on the latest version for Java. There are also races if you want to be different.
