This is a skyblock server that is all about growing your own island and never really stopping. The islands keep going and you can expand more and more instead of waiting for resets.
There are custom caves that go through different levels. The caves have regenerating ores and special mobs and even bosses so it feels way bigger than normal Minecraft mining.
Fishing is also a big thing here. There are over one hundred unique textured fish you can catch and collect plus a ton of fishing mobs you can fight while you are out on the water.
The server has hundreds of quests so you always have something to work on. It helps guide your progress so you are not just standing around wondering what to do next.
They do seasonal payouts so you can try to compete on leaderboards or just play casually if you want. Both play styles seem supported.
Islands are profile based so if you get bored of one island you can start a new one and then swap back whenever you feel like it. That makes it easy to try different ideas.
They are also looking for staff members right now so if you join early and show you care you can try to apply.
The server runs on version 1.21.10 so you know what to use when you join.

Nova Network is opening a new SMP really soon and it looks different from the usual servers I see.
The server has custom mobs that make survival feel more intense. There are quests and daily quests so you always have something to do instead of just mining and building forever. You can level up skills and there is a custom battlepass and jobs so you can progress in a bunch of different ways.
They use in game voice chat so people can actually talk while they play which makes it feel more like a real community. The server supports both Java and Bedrock so a lot more players can join and play together.
There are already over 200 people in their community getting ready for launch and they are still growing. They are also looking for staff before the server goes live so if you want to help run a new SMP this looks like a good time to start on day one.

Creation Network is a survival bending server where combat really matters. The whole gamemode mixes survival with PvP and elemental powers so it feels different from normal servers.
You get custom abilities and there are more elements planned. The world has custom terrain in the overworld the nether and the end so exploring actually feels new. There are also custom enchantments and over one thousand quests so there is always something to grind. The economy is meant to be balanced so progress feels fair.
One of the coolest things is the avatar system. When there are ten players online the server randomly picks one player to become the avatar. Everyone can see it in chat or in a menu. If the avatar dies another player gets picked. The avatar gets all four elements and special avatar only abilities so fights get really intense.
Some items like netherite ingots and the mace are not normally obtainable. You can only get them from the traveling merchant or from certain chest loot. That makes those items feel super rare and valuable.
There is also a clan system. You can build a clan with other players make alliances or mark other clans as enemies. It is clearly built to be competitive and to reward groups that work together.
The server supports both Java and Bedrock. Versions go from 1.8 to 1.21 plus the latest Bedrock version so pretty much anyone can join.

Nova Network is a new Minecraft server that is getting ready to open and it looks like it is all about survival and progression.
From what I see the main idea is long term survival where you slowly get stronger. You can run quests fight custom mobs and unlock cool custom tool skins. There are crates and kits that you work through so the gameplay keeps changing instead of getting stale.
There is also a factions system so players can team up and build bases together. Factions can claim territory compete with others and shape their own part of the world. It feels like they want both teamwork and competition at the same time.
The community is still growing and they are hyping up opening day. If you want to start from the beginning and grow with everyone this server seems made for that.

This is a Polish Minecraft server that is all about economy and RPG style gameplay. When I joined it felt like the world was built for grinding money doing quests and slowly getting stronger.
The server has a developed economic system so you are always trading and earning. There is also a plot system so you can get your own place and grow it over time.
There are dungeons with prizes and typical RPG tasks so it really feels like an adventure. You explore custom biomes and custom structures and you can find cool custom enchants too.

This server is called Raid The Nether and it is built around a crazy extraction style PvP idea. It feels like those extraction shooter games but inside Minecraft and everything happens in a custom nether world.
You go through a portal into a huge nether hellscape. There are dangerous areas with mobs and other players and there is loot worth tons of gold just sitting around if you are brave enough to go get it. You can explore bastion type places and old forges and find hidden loot rooms and cool secrets.
The whole thing is about risk. You grab treasure and powerful gear and rare stuff but if you die you lose what you brought and what you found. So you have to decide when to fight and when to hide and when to just run away.
To keep your loot you have to extract. You find a portal spot light it and escape back to safety. If you make it out you can use what you earned to upgrade your loadout and finish quests and get ready for the next run.
Every run feels different. You plan a route choose your fights and try to become known in the nether for surviving when others do not.
