    This server is a vanilla anarchy survival world that starts you in the middle of the ocean. When you join you have to swim or use a boat and find land before you can really build or explore. It feels like an adventure right from the first minute.

    The world has been around since 2011 so the terrain is super mixed. You can find really old areas and ruins and if you travel far enough you can reach newer land that was generated after 2014. Sometimes player and mob heads drop in combat so fights can give you cool trophies.

    The server uses a few simple datapacks that give you commands like trigger home and trigger spawn. You can set up to 10 homes which makes moving around the giant old world a lot easier. Nothing else really changes the gameplay so it still feels like classic vanilla Minecraft.

    There are only two rules. You have to treat other players with respect and you cannot try to crash the server on purpose. Besides that almost anything is allowed. Griefing is allowed and hacked clients are allowed too so you need to be careful and smart about your builds.

    Most people playing are in their mid twenties or older. A lot are from the US and there are also some Russian and Polish speakers. The vibe is pretty relaxed and not super structured so you can just do your own thing and explore or fight or build how you want.

    The server uses anti cheat to keep things fair and has a scoreboard that shows stats balance and server info while you play. It is made for players who like long term progression whether you build grind pvp or just explore.

    Overall PotatoSMP feels like a calm survival world with quality of life features and a focus on fairness and community.

    The spawn is spooky this season and as the holidays get closer it will shift into a nightmare before Christmas style. The server keeps a vanilla feeling but has some quality of life plugins like one person sleep teleport to spawn and home chest sorting and combining chest plate with elytra.

    The economy is inspired by Hermitcraft. Diamonds are the main currency and players build little shops and use an honor system that is strongly enforced so people do not steal.

    This is an 18 plus inclusive community and it is LGBTQIA plus friendly. Players have many playstyles like builders redstone engineers and explorers and there are people from all over the world so someone is almost always online.

    The rules are pretty simple. No destruction or theft of other peoples stuff and pvp only when everyone agrees. The server allows nether roof travel and updates along with paper for version 1.21.10. It is Java with Bedrock crossplay and the vibe is super chill.

    There is a diamond based economy kind of like hermitcraft so diamonds are important for trading and shopping. There is also a resource world so players can gather blocks without ruining the main world. You can see the world with a live Bluemap and it supports both Java and Bedrock so more people can join.

    The world border is smaller on purpose so bases end up closer together and players see each other more often. The owner listens to player feedback a lot. If someone has a cool idea for the server they try to make it happen.

    There are many events planned and not just the usual ones. There are also random pop up events so when people are online there is often something fun happening. The server has been running for over two months and there are still tons of projects and things to do. It feels like a growing community that wants more friendly players to join.

    This server feels like an old school vanilla world that never really stopped. The world started in 2011 so you can find really old terrain and ruins and then run into newer areas if you explore far enough. There is nothing extra that changes terrain or adds crazy items. Sometimes player heads and mob heads can drop when you fight which is fun to collect.

    The community is a small group of long time friends and most players are in their mid twenties or older. People are mostly from the US with some Russian and Polish speakers too. The rules are super simple. Treat people with respect and do not try to crash the server. Besides that almost anything is allowed so griefing and hacked clients are okay if you still respect others.

    The server is always running the newest Minecraft snapshot so you get new features right away. It feels relaxed and unstructured and it is good if you just want to play classic survival with a world that has a lot of history already.

    This is a new SMP that started not long ago and it has a cool idea. You can either join the normal pvp side or you can declare yourself peaceful. Peaceful players cannot be griefed or stolen from and they are not part of the pvp scene.

    The server runs in hard mode and has a world border from minus 4k to plus 4k. It uses custom terrain generation with tectonic and terralith and all the chunks are already preloaded so exploring feels smooth.

    There are a bunch of quality of life tweaks. Only one player needs to sleep to skip the night. Minecarts go super fast at 90 meters per second and use the new experimental physics. You can sit on stairs. Enderman and ghast griefing is turned off and phantoms are disabled.

    You can silk touch spawners and also silk touch amethyst buds. Ender pearls are disabled so movement feels different. The server uses purpur software to run everything.

    If you like survival with some custom changes and the option to stay peaceful this server feels like a good mix of calm and danger.
