The Eternal Region is a vanilla plus world that feels like a chill place to hang out and play Minecraft with other people. It is a whitelisted server so you actually see the same players again and again instead of randoms.

The server is run by a community and a mod team and they are getting ready for season three. They already had more than 300 people play in the first two seasons so it feels like they know what they are doing. Season three is supposed to go back to the roots of a community vanilla plus server.

There is simple voice chat so you can actually talk to people while you build or explore. The server is 16 plus and Java only so it leans more toward older players who want a calmer vibe. Players also run their own events so stuff is happening that is not just grinding.

There is PvP but you have to turn it on so you are not forced into fights if you do not want that. At the end there is a free for all PvP in the End for people who like that kind of challenge.

To get in you have to apply and fully read the rules. They really care about people understanding the rules before they join so the server stays nice.
