The Pen MC is a classic prison server that is trying to feel like the old 2014 style. It is barebones and focused on grinding with no instant sell mines and no overpowered armor. You mine then you smelt your ores and you have to move through pvp zones to sell so it can feel risky.
After you rank up through A to H you can reach Parole. Then you can keep going with a prestige system and you can choose different ways to progress. You can stick to mining or go into a custom fishing system for money. You can also fight through a mob arena with waves and boss fights for money and shards.
There is also a cookie farming bakery system where you farm wheat and cocoa then bake cookies with custom mechanics. It has long term cookie quests and leaderboards and you can convert cookies into higher tier rewards.
The server has guards that enforce contraband rules plus illegal crops for high risk high reward. You can rent cells and plots and use auction house bounties solitary confinement parkour challenges and player shops. The paid stuff is not meant to be pay to win because everything you can buy can also be earned in game.
