This is an Earth SMP where players build countries and fight wars. The world is meant to last a long time so you can actually stick around and see stuff grow.
PvP is always allowed so you should be ready to fight if someone challenges you. Raiding bases and stealing is not just random though. You can only do that if you officially declare war on another country.

I found this SMP that is made for people who are tired of boring servers. The owner got sick of worlds that die in a week and decided to make something different.
On this server you can play how you want. If you just want to chill build farms and vibe you can do that and people will leave you alone. If you want to sweat do PvP start conflict or act like it is factions that is also totally fine.

CaveMC is a survival server where the entire overworld is replaced by a massive cave world. There is no normal surface at all. Everything is underground with custom world generation made by real Minecraft developers.
The server is semi anarchy so survival is really brutal. There are very few limits and you have to be smart to stay alive. Only really resourceful players are going to last long here.
Season 2 adds a huge new place called the Wasteland Dimension. It is a big expansion not just a small biome. In the Wasteland you can find brand new powerful gear that changes how you fight and survive.
There are also giant mega structures scattered through the Wasteland. These are massive and hold secrets and valuable resources so exploring them is a big part of the server.
The Wasteland has its own special currency and economy. Players can trade and build up wealth using this new system. There is also a brand new spawn that fits the Wasteland theme.

This server is called MinecraftOffline and it feels like a laid back survival world with a twist. The owners use a bunch of custom plugins so it does not feel like plain vanilla.
You can set a home and teleport back with simple commands so exploring is less annoying. There is also a teleport request system so you can warp to friends instead of everyone walking forever.
The big thing is lifesteal. When you kill other players you gain hearts and when you die you lose hearts. If you lose all your hearts you get banned so PvP actually matters a lot. New players get a one hour grace period where they do not lose hearts so they can settle in first.
There is a combat plugin that blocks commands while you are fighting and it punishes combat logging. If someone logs out in a fight they get replaced by an npc that can be killed and it drops all their items.
The server tries to block extreme speed cheats and also has a basic anti spam system for chat. It is not perfect but it stops the worst stuff.
There is an in game store where you can spend vote tokens on custom name colors and custom motds. The stats system tracks playtime kills and deaths and gives rewards when you hit certain milestones.

This is a Fallout style Minecraft server that is all about roleplay with factions. It runs on forge 1.19.2 and anyone can join if they use that version.
The map has a bunch of custom builds based on Fallout places. Spawn is inside a big vault. There is Camp Navvaro for the Enclave. There is the Museum of Freedom for the Minutemen. There is a bunker for the Brotherhood of Steel and a ranger outpost for the New California Republic.

This is a chill survival SMP where people still like to fight. There are usually around 5 to 10 players online each day and some of them stream like RebuiltBuck and coolguyapf. It feels like a small server where most players recognize each other.
The main focus is PvP and fun events. There is a kills leaderboard and the player in first place gets a special weapon every week. The weapon has different enchantments and powers so people really try to stay on top.

This is a vanilla survival server that has been running the same overworld since April 1st 2019. The whole idea is that it is everyone’s forever world and the map does not get reset.
There are no land claims and no teleport commands like tpa or home. There is also no economy or faction system so the game stays very close to normal Minecraft survival.
PvP is allowed and griefing is also allowed so you have to be careful where you build. Nothing is protected by plugins so players shape the world themselves.
The server has proximity voice chat support if you install the Simple Voice Chat mod on your side. It is optional but it makes meeting people and exploring way more interesting.

Anarchy Network is a semi anarchy server that tries to feel like pure vanilla survival with almost no rules. It launched on October 11th 2024 and it runs all day and night.
You can join on Java versions from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.11 and they say 1.21.10 is the best to avoid problems. The world border is huge at 2 million blocks so there is a lot of space to run build hide and fight.
There are no map resets and there is no teleporting and no pay to win stuff. Griefing is allowed and PVP is fully allowed so you always have to watch your back. The only non vanilla thing you can really do is use spawn so people that travel super far do not feel totally alone. Nether roof is allowed and phantoms are removed and only half the players online have to sleep to skip the night.
The rules are mostly about keeping the server stable and not toxic. Exploits dupes lag machines and spam are not allowed. Also harassment and racial slurs in chat are not allowed. Everything else is pretty much up to the players.
If you want a long term world with simple survival and chaos mixed together this server feels like that kind of place.

AvalonEarth is a Minecraft earthsmp server with a 1 to 500 scale map so there is a lot of space to claim land and build nations. The server uses Towny so towns and nations are a huge part of the gameplay.
Everyone gets starter money when they join so you can make your own nation right away. You do not have to grind forever first and there are no weird player requirements just to start.
