This server is called RefinedVanilla and it is a true vanilla anarchy world. There are basically no rules except you cannot use hacked clients. You can build destroy explore and experiment however you want and everything feels like normal Minecraft.
The owner uses Fabric so the game keeps real vanilla mechanics. Redstone tnt pistons and tick timings work just like singleplayer. That makes it really good for technical players who care about farms and machines being accurate.
The server changes stuff like simulation distance mobcaps and render distance while you play so it runs smooth even when more players join.
There are a few gameplay details too. The nether roof is enabled. Chunk trailing is patched. Portal chunkloaders still work but they unload when no players are near in either dimension.

This is a semi anarchy server that really tries to feel like pure vanilla survival. It launched in October 2024 and it runs all day and all night.
You can join on almost any Java version from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.10. The owner says it works best on 1.21.10 so that version is recommended.
The world has a big border with 2 million blocks to explore. There are no map resets so whatever you build or destroy is meant to stay. There is no teleporting at all except for a single spawn command and there is no pay to win stuff.
Griefing and PvP are fully allowed so you always have to watch your back. The only special things are that you can use spawn so you do not get stuck super far away. The nether roof is allowed. Phantoms are turned off and only half the players online have to sleep to skip the night.
There are still a few rules. You cannot use exploits or lag machines. Duping is not allowed. Spamming in chat is not allowed and harassment or racial slurs are also not allowed.
Overall it feels like a rough survival world with almost no limits so it is good if you like risky gameplay and long term worlds.

This is a vanilla style semi anarchy server with some rules so it is not total chaos. It has a small but active player base and peaks can hit around ten players online later in the day. Early in the day there might only be a few people.
There are two official teams that are supposed to create lore. When you die your head drops so wars and conflicts actually matter. A lot of players also just make teams with their friends and do their own thing.
The server has some qol plugins like veinminer treeminer graves and picking up mobs. There is a world border at 10k for now but it can grow later. Netherite armor is not allowed for now and going to the End is also not allowed for now.
PvP is allowed and griefing is allowed only when there is a real conflict or war. Random grief just for fun is not allowed. There is a whitelist and cracked clients are not allowed. Voice chat is used and many people like to build and chill.
The owner wants players who stick around and do not quit in the first week if they die or get killed. If you really do not want to be part of PvP you can say so and the owner will tell the PvP players to leave you alone but they might still attack sometimes.

PeaMC is a pure survival server that feels like old school Minecraft. There is no teleport so you actually walk and explore the world. There are no land claims and no weird plugins in your face so it feels a lot like singleplayer but with other players around.

This is a cracked SMP that just started its second season and it feels fresh and new. The server runs on version 1.21.11 so it is up to date.
The world has a 5k border so everyone stays kind of close together and you actually run into other players. It has 12gb of ram and is online 24 7 so you can hop on whenever you feel like playing.
