I found a semi vanilla Minecraft server that mostly feels like normal Minecraft. It has some mods that are meant to make the game more enjoyable.
The server usually has a small crowd around 5 to 15 players a day so it does not feel packed. Griefing is not allowed and there are extra rules to keep things fair for everyone.
If you want a chill place to play and not worry about people wrecking your stuff this one seems like a good pick.
