The Vanguard SMP is starting season 1 and it is made for players who want real conflict. PVP is allowed and griefing is allowed so you have to be smart about where you build and who you trust.
It also uses a custom infuse SMP plugin to make the game feel more fun and more interesting than normal survival.
They use written applications to pick who joins so it is aimed at dedicated players. The server is planned to release once they get enough members.
