Realm of Thrones is a crossplay SMP where players build nations and try to become the top empire. It feels like a mix of civilization building and PvP so you can grow strong then go conquer if you want to fight.
You build a kingdom and level it up over time. Peaceful nations can still matter because trading and alliances help you take down enemies.
There is a progression system with in game money and play time. As you rank up you gain more access and prestige.

When you die you lose hearts and if you lose them all you get banned from the server. New players get a one hour grace period where they do not lose hearts so you can warm up a bit.
There are simple home and teleport commands so you can set a home and warp around with tpa. There is also a plugin that locks your commands in combat and punishes combat logging by spawning an npc that can be killed and drops your stuff. So running away is not really safe.
