The Perch is a Java SMP that is built to feel like a real Minecraft home with no resets. It is made to avoid toxicity and drama and the staff keeps listening to what the community wants.
The server tries to keep that true survival feel so it does not feel bloated. A lot of features can be toggled off if you do not like them. They also care a lot about farms and redstone so your builds should behave like they do in the base game.
There is a playtime ranking system so you unlock perks just by playing. The economy is meant to be fair and balanced and there are lots of player run shops. There are small gameplay tweaks to make things nicer and there is a web map where you can view all worlds.

Termina is a Towny server that is not trying to be peaceful like creative mode. It aims for war and danger but without the anarchy vibe.
The big thing here is a heist style war system. During wars TNT and creepers can break builds but the damage auto regenerates after the fight ends. The point is to raid for chests and spawners and PvP matters a lot.
There is also a duel arena with staking. Players can do 1v1 duels and other fights with custom kits. You can wager Rupeez or items and it is meant to be fair with no scamming.
The server says it has no pay to win. Ranks and crate keys and tiered gear are earned through in game Rupeez and playtime. New players also get 24 hours of PvP immunity if they want it.
It runs on a massive 40k by 40k custom world with a 3D live map. It supports full crossplay for Java and Bedrock.

Stormy Lagoon is a fair long term SMP that supports Java and Bedrock crossplay. It is built to feel balanced and it stays away from pay to win since ranks and perks can be earned.
The server has custom progression with Stormy Items where you can level up your tools weapons and armor and get abilities. There are daily missions and weekly challenges that reward Pearls plus milestones for long term progress and a Pearl shop where you can spend what you earn on perks ranks and cosmetics.
Gameplay has mcMMO skills for things like combat mining and fishing. The economy is player driven so people can buy sell and trade. You also get activity based rewards like Pearls Diamonds and rank progress and you can rank up just by playtime.
There are yearly resource worlds so the main world does not get wrecked for materials. There is an RTP menu to move around five worlds.
For safety it uses strong claims with permissions to help stop griefing. PvP is consensual since you can toggle it on or off. You can also set tags and join messages and make pixel art with canvas style art maps.

Realm of Thrones is a small but growing SMP where players try to build kingdoms that actually last. The whole point is nations and history. People claim land and build cities castles and trade hubs while the world keeps moving forward.
The server uses the Lands plugin for claiming and managing territory. You can form alliances and also go to war with rival empires. It feels more like strategy because your land turns into a real civilization over time.
There is an economy with player run shops and also a server shop. You can do jobs that pay you while you level skills and there is McMMO progression too. There is legendary fishing and crates and rewards.
Technology and industry are a big deal here because Minetorio components let players build automated factories. Ranks can be earned with in game money and playtime so you always have something to work toward.
They also said advanced farming is coming soon with new custom crops and extra farming mechanics so farming can be a real progression path for kingdoms.

Freedom SMP is a survival server where building and creativity is the main thing. It is running on 1.21.11 and it just launched on 3-9-26.
It uses a town claiming system so you can start your own town or just protect your own spot. There is a server shop and an auction house so you can sell items fast or let other players bid on them.
Moving around is easier with teleport features like tpa rtp homes and warps. There is also a 3D map you can use to see builds and towns.
You get rewards for playtime and there are spawner features like picking up spawners plus block spawners that generate blocks for collecting. The admin team is small but active and they help fix issues and help players.

This is a European Lifesteal server where fights actually matter since hearts go up when you kill someone and go down when you die. If you run out of hearts you get banned. New players get a 1 hour grace period so you can learn without losing hearts right away.
It has simple homes and a teleport request system so meeting up is easy. There is also a battle lock that stops you from using commands during PvP and it hits combat loggers by swapping them with a killable NPC that drops their stuff.
I also saw anti cheat for extreme speed cheats and a chat system that blocks heavy spam. There is a vote token shop for custom name colours and custom MOTDs. Stats like playtime kills and deaths are tracked and you can get rewards at milestones. Nights can be skipped when people vote by typing goodnight.
