Halcyon is a Lands PvP server that is trying to feel like a real medieval world. It was started by a postgraduate medievalist and it runs on the latest version of vanilla Minecraft 1.21.11. The server is based in Australia and people play from Europe the Americas and Asia. It usually has around 10 to 30 players online.
The world is handmade and it is meant to be harder and slower than normal survival. Night cannot be skipped and healing is slow and only works in certain conditions. The server pushes you away from meta automation and more toward creativity teamwork and picking a job to be good at.
There is no teleporting so travel matters a lot. Players end up making roads waystations and even secret railways underground. Crops and saplings are limited to certain biomes so trading becomes important and different areas start to feel unique.
