UneasyVanilla is a vanilla anarchy style server that has been running since March 10th 2020. It is made for players who want total freedom but still want the game to feel like normal Minecraft.
There are no gameplay changing plugins. There is no teleportation and no sethome. There is no grief protection and no set economy. You just spawn in and survive with what you can find and what you can build.
Griefing and raiding are allowed so you always have to watch your back. You can team up with other players or try to make it on your own. You never really know who you will run into or what will happen next.
Hacks and cheats are not allowed so the server is about real Minecraft skills. Everything you do is in the normal game with no unfair advantages.
The server is on version 1.21.8 and has a wiki and a community that has grown around it over the years. If you like tough survival and risky adventures this place feels pretty exciting.

This is a modded Minecraft server that feels like medieval fantasy smashed together with an apocalypse. You load in and it already feels different because of all the mods.
There are almost 200 mods and a lot of them are performance and quality of life so the game runs smoother and just looks nicer. There are also decorative mods so you can make your base look really cool without lagging your game.

This server is called CaveMC and it is on Season 2. It is a semi anarchy survival server where the whole overworld is underground. There is no surface at all. Everything is caves with different biomes resources and structures.
The gameplay feels way harder than normal survival. You have to be really smart to survive because it is brutal and there is not much safety. It is still kind of vanilla but it has a lot of custom world generation made by real Minecraft developers so it feels unique.
They are adding a new place called the Wasteland Dimension. It is a huge new area not just a normal biome. In the Wasteland you can get brand new powerful gear and there are massive structures to explore. These mega structures hide secrets and good loot so people will fight over them.

This is an anarchy server called NoRulesNoBans and it is all about total chaos. There are no rules and no bans so you can basically do whatever you want. You can grief bases steal stuff and kill anyone you see and that is just normal here.
The server is small and can hold up to 30 players and from what I saw it usually runs pretty smooth and is not very laggy. It feels like one of those places where you never know what will happen next and you should never trust anyone at all.
It has been up 24 7 since 10 15 25 and it runs on version 1.21.10 so you can play with new things. If you like wild PvP and base raiding and just causing trouble then this server is made for you.

Foggy Willows is a server for people who actually want real vanilla survival. It runs on the normal minecraft server jar with no plugins and no datapacks at all. Everything you do is just regular Minecraft with all the weird vanilla stuff left in.
The world has no border and there are no commands like tp or sethome. If you want to go somewhere you have to walk or build your own system. There are no donations and no extra perks so everyone plays on the same level.
The server is set to hard mode so mobs and survival are more dangerous. Players are expected to deal with their own social problems so there is not a lot of hand holding. You can build how you want and play how you want as long as you can handle that.
It is always updated to the latest stable vanilla jar and it is self hosted on a machine just for the server. Technical Minecraft players are welcome here because nothing gets in the way of redstone or farms.

UneasyVanilla is a semi anarchy vanilla server that mixes survival and chaos. The world has been running for over four years so it feels really lived in and packed with history.
When you join for the first time you spawn in a place that is completely griefed with tons of lavacasts. It is like a maze and you have to escape it before you can really start playing. Once you get out you can explore the big old world and build bases wherever you want.
The server tries to stay close to the original Minecraft vision. It is mostly lawless and players have a lot of freedom. There are still some simple rules though because they want the server to run well and feel fair.

I found this Minecraft server called Anarchy Network and it is a semi anarchy survival world that tries to stay close to vanilla. It launched on October 11th 2024 and it runs all the time. You can join with lots of Java versions from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.10 and they say 1.21.10 is best so stuff does not break.
The world is huge with a border at 2 million blocks. There are no resets so everything people do stays. There is no teleporting at all and no pay to win stuff. Griefing is allowed and so is PvP so you really have to be careful who you trust.
The only special command that is allowed is spawn so people really far away do not get stuck alone forever. Nether roof is allowed and phantoms are turned off. Only half the players have to sleep to skip the night so it is not super annoying.
They do have a few rules so it is not totally crazy. You cannot use exploits or dupes. You are not allowed to make lag machines or spam. You also cannot use harassment or racial slurs in chat. So you can fight and raid but you still have to act like a decent person in chat.

This is a survival pvp server that has been running since 2011 and the map has never been reset. There is a ton of history and old builds and a lot of long time players still around.
The server is hard mode and there are no kits or vote rewards or easy commands like home. You just spawn in and try to make it with your own skill. If you fail it is on you and if you succeed it also feels more legit.
