This server is called FabricCraft and it is a vanilla true semi anarchy survival world. It runs on Fabric so redstone and farms behave like real vanilla and not like those servers that say they are vanilla but use weird plugins.
There are no land claims and no world resets. The map just keeps going and everything is shaped by the players. People can make alliances trade start rivalries and raid each other. Your base is only as safe as you can keep it.
The rules are pretty minimal. It is semi anarchy so you have a lot of freedom but you still cannot use hacked clients or mods that give you an advantage. You play survival with your own skill and your own brain.
If you like long term worlds working farms and real vanilla mechanics this server is built for that. The owners spent a lot of time making this idea work and it really feels different from most SMP servers.

PurpleSMP is a small chill survival server that feels really simple but still super clean and refined. It is made for people who just want a calm place to build and enjoy the newest Minecraft versions without dealing with rude players.
The server uses mcMMO so you can level up skills and make grinding for resources feel more satisfying. There are land claims so you can protect your builds and start your own little base or even a big empire if you want.
There is no main shop and no server currency. The economy is all about what players do and what they trade so all the value comes from what you gather and build yourself.
PvP is off by default so it is mostly PVE and relaxed. If you want to mess around with friends you can toggle PvP on, but only when you actually feel like it.
The staff really focus on safety. Every block that is placed or broken is logged and your inventory is backed up whenever you join leave or die. If someone breaks the rules staff can see what happened and restore stuff you lost.
There is also a strong anti cheat that alerts staff in Discord if something looks sketchy so cheaters get handled fast.

This is a big 100 player modded pvp server where the whole world feels like a civilization sim and every choice can mess you up.
Players make their own kingdoms clans cults or even empires and they build them from nothing. The community is all about politics and deals and backstabbing and wars that actually matter.
The server uses anime and superhero style mods like Jujutsu Kaisen My Hero Academia and Marvel so fights feel really crazy and powerful. PvP is hardcore so war is serious death has consequences and you actually have to earn your strength.
Most of the roleplay is made by the players. People create lore betray each other make alliances and start big conflicts that can change the whole server.
It is whitelist only so they want committed players and not random griefers. They run these civilization simulations as limited time events every two months and they are starting around early February.
Every player matters and every war can change the world or even wipe out a whole nation.

This server is called All Outta Blocks and it feels like a Hermitcraft style world that is made by the players for the players. It is a whitelist server for Java and it is only for people who are 18 or older.
The server is mostly vanilla and they really try to keep the normal Minecraft feeling. There is a diamond based economy and a cool shopping district. There are also public builds and big community projects that everyone can help with.
One of the main things is proximity chat and most people actually use it. There are also homes and some cosmetic and quality of life and fun plugins. The community votes on new plugins with polls so the players choose what gets added.

Anarchy Network is a semi anarchy Minecraft server that tries to stay really close to normal vanilla survival. It launched in October 2024 and it runs all the time on a world with a huge border that goes out two million blocks.
You can join on a lot of different Java versions from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.11 and they say 1.21.10 works the best right now. There are no map resets so everything people build or destroy stays there. There is no teleporting and no pay to win stuff. Griefing and PvP are totally allowed so you have to be careful who you trust.
The only special command they allow is spawn so if you go super far away you can still get back to other players. They also let you use the nether roof and they turned off phantoms and only need about half the people sleeping to skip the night.
The rules are still pretty simple. You are not allowed to use exploits or lag machines or duping. You also cannot spam chat or use harassment or racial slurs. Besides that it is mostly pure survival where players decide what happens and the world slowly fills with bases ruins traps and random chaos.

This is a semi vanilla SMP called Vanillacraft and it feels like old school Minecraft with other people.
The server tries to stay really simple. There are no GUI shops or big economy plugins and there is not even land protection. Instead they use Coreprotect and active staff to stop griefing. Players can build wherever they want and it stays safe.
The economy is run by players. There is a market area and player shops where you can buy and sell stuff if you want a head start. There is also a community spawn with farms and useful things that everyone can use.
There are no teleport commands here. People travel through the nether roof or use elytra to move around so exploring and making routes actually matters.
There are no pay to win ranks and there is not even a server store. The community is friendly and welcoming and the same people log in a lot so it feels like a loyal group instead of a giant random server.

The sad part is it does not really have players yet. It feels like one of those servers that should be more popular but people just do not know about it.
