Amalthea is a trading focused survival world with very few rules, inspired by land claim, anarchy, and civ style servers but not fully belonging to any of those categories. The server uses land claims to protect builds, while griefing is still allowed, and the mechanics are designed to discourage constant PvP and encourage cooperation without removing the option to play as a lone wolf. Combat is reworked so that distance from your base matters more than raw PvP skill, and there are many custom plugins that change how you gather and use resources. Block breaking and crafting can fail until you gain practice, items can be traded safely using trading chests, and mending on gear is consumed to reset repair cost but can randomly reduce other enchantment levels. The server runs several automatic systems to keep gameplay smooth and fair, including anti lag that manages mobs and redstone, anti cheat protection, and item duplication prevention. You will gradually receive in game tips that explain the rules and custom mechanics, and there are extra touches like sitting on stairs and shrines where you can offer materials to curse enemies or receive blessings, plus tools like seeing the distance to a treasure map.
