I found LanderYT SMP and it is a semi vanilla survival server with a world that is about 7 months old. The server resets yearly so it stays fresh but still feels like a real long term place.
It is inspired by Hermitcraft so griefing and killing are not tolerated. People are expected to play nice and build up the world together.
There are small tweaks that still keep the gameplay close to vanilla. There is a custom texture pack with things like shop permits plus cosmetic hats and weapons that do not add extra power.
Teleporting is kept simple since the only command is /spawn and it is only in the overworld. This makes players build roads and highways more.
Some Hermitcraft style datapacks are used like single player sleep plus player heads and armor statues. Chat can also connect between Discord and Minecraft.
They use CoreProtect to help protect builds. Events happen sometimes and you can earn event coins to buy cosmetic items. There is also a small staff team that tries to keep things peaceful on the server and in chat.
