Minearchy is a long running Java server on 1.21.11 and you do not need any mods to join. It feels like it is built for people who want a real community and not just random players.
Survival has grief protection and chest shops so your builds and your stuff can stay safe. The economy is balanced and you can use auctions and player warps to get around and trade. It also has the mcMMO skill system so you can keep leveling up just by playing.
There is a live dynmap so exploring the world is way easier. You can also do daily and weekly quests and jump into special events.
If you like fighting there are dedicated PvP and PvE zones. The server also says it is not pay to win so progress is earned through play.
When you want a break from survival there are lots of minigames like TNT Run and TNT Tag plus Prop Hunt and Block Party. There is also KitPvP and games like Quake Mini Walls Zombies Squid Game Among Us and MineKart. It seems like they keep updating it and adding things based on player feedback.
