    Frontier SMP is a Java Edition server for 1.21.8 and it is built around exploring a world that feels huge and wild.

    The terrain is custom made so biomes feel bigger and more adventurous with massive mountains and big structures that stand out.

    The main thing is the altar system. Altars are hidden inside large structures around the world and if you spot something massive you are supposed to search the whole place. Finding an altar can give you power like abilities and upgrades that change how you play.

    It is a true survival style server that stays vanilla based but adds the altar mechanics. The vibe is competitive and strategic since exploring more can make you stronger.

    I found a brand new community SMP that is semi vanilla and focused on fair play. It is whitelist only and it is 18+ only so the vibe is more mature.

    There are no ranks and no donor perks. There is no server shop either so the economy is more player driven with diamonds as the main currency. There are also no teleport shortcuts so travel and building roads actually matters.

    The server uses ValhallaMMO and ValhallaTrinkets so you can get deeper progression while still feeling like survival. The world uses Terralith generation so the terrain should feel fresh. Players can run shops with Shopkeepers and rent market space with AdvancedRegionMarket.

    There is Bluemap for viewing the world and Bell Claims for land claiming. Phantoms are disabled. The End has a weekly Ender Dragon respawn and the dragon is reworked into a multi phase raid boss fight. Changes are driven by community feedback and polls.

    AtlasCivs is a Minecraft server all about geopolitics and roleplay. The world does not reset so everything people build and all the lore they make actually matters. Players make their own nations and stories and the whole server is focused on worldbuilding.

    There is a 6k by 6k area you can claim. Both personal bases and big national builds are protected so people can work on big projects without losing them. The nether is 1 to 1 with the overworld so players are pushed to travel using rails paths canals and other routes instead of just quick shortcuts.

    Nations on the server do diplomacy war and trade. Making your own nation is easy but you do not have to if you just want to join others. The community really likes creative projects. People are into writing drawing music videos and more and all that stuff is encouraged.

    The server uses Coreprotect and regular players can access it. There is proximity chat so you can talk to people who are close to you in game. Elytras are removed so travel feels more grounded. Player heads drop on death and there is multiplayer sleep. The server is on Java and there is a whitelist that only needs your in game name and age.

    The server has Ancient Artifacts 2 so you can go hunt for powerful items and upgrades. It also has a better nether and end so those dimensions feel way more interesting to explore.

    For the overworld there is Tectonic and A Blooming Biosphere so the world looks super immersive with cool custom biomes. On top of that there are lots of custom enchantments to mess around with and build crazy gear.

    You can join on both Java and Bedrock so it is easy to play with friends no matter what they are on.
