Welcome to Desolate Lands, an MMORPG where you battle dangerous monsters, learn powerful abilities, explore the expansive world, and fight against other players in an epic battle for domination.
We just released a major update, including a custom new clan system, dungeon, treasure hunts, and the ability to build your own custom island! See the bottom of this post for more information.
Here’s a few cool features the server has:
Quests
We created a completely new, revamped Quest System which has amazing new features like quest choices, cutscenes, option rewards, escort quests and much, much more. There are plenty of quests to enjoy, all the way from Level 0 to Level 150.
Clans
We just released a custom new clan system, including the ability to level up your clan from gameplay, create custom ranks, unlock clan perks, and create your own Clan Island far off at sea. Build your epic home and defend your island at night from dangerous monsters of the sea!
Bosses
Powerful, dangerous bosses of all sorts reside all across the world. Whether it’s in a dark cave to the side of a mountain, or the top of a gigantic tree, bosses can show up at any time, any where- even when you least expect it.
Dynamic Gameplay
The world is extremely dynamic, and changes based on day, night, or even the weather. Enemies with all kinds of abilities can appear at night to devastate unprepared explorers. And within the haunting rain, terrifying bosses may hunt you if you venture too far. However, daylight is not something to completely desire- different monsters will come for you in the day, too.
Classes
The classes system may seem traditional at first- the typical Mage, Archer, Rogue, and Warrior. However, once you reach Level 30, classes branch to different options to suit your desired play-style. Whether it’s becoming a powerful crossbowman, or an evil necromancer, you decide how you play.
Items
Explore the vast world to find all sorts of items. All items have randomized stat values to keep the experience unique. You can find all kinds of items, from Common to Legendary, gaining incredible effects the further up you go, including powerful Set Effects!

The Conquest Update is finally here! This update includes an enormous amount of content and revamps for you to enjoy.

New Systems – Clans & Parties
Create and upgrade your own Clan with a completely new and customized system. You’ll be able to define your own custom ranks, make allies and enemies, unlock powerful clan perks, and much more. Gain clan honor to level up your clan and dominate the Clan Leaderboard. No need to worry about breaking clan loyalties – you’ll still be able to team up with anyone, anytime using the new party system!
Party Quest – Hayesbury Defense
The town was saved from a strange curse and its people rescued, but the fight is not over just yet. War has come to the town of Hayesbury and hope is dwindling as Rex’s Army marches to finish off the townspeople once and for all. This is a repeatable Party Quest, with incredible rewards based on how successful you are at defending the town. Gather a group of adventurers to make your final stand with Hayesbury against the greatest threat it’s ever faced!
Build your own Clan Island
With a powerful new clan system comes an even crazier feature: Clan Islands! You’ll finally be able to build on Desolate Lands alongside your clan in an expandable island, far off at sea. Purchase all kinds of blocks, plants, and special items to use in your custom island. Show off your world-renowned treasures in item frames and armor stands. But don’t feel too safe in your new home – who knows what lurks in the sea when night falls..
New Class – Necromancer
A powerful new Mage subclass has arrived, the Necromancer! Gain control of dark, ancient magic and command the Undead to devastate your enemies. This class combines a unique playstyle along with powerful summons from a new and upgraded system. Class switches will be free on the day of release, so don’t miss out on your chance to play this awesome class!
New Dungeon – Sunken Halls
Explore the Sunken Halls, a new Tier 2 dungeon entered through the Pirate’s Bay. This massive dungeon covers a level range of 50-70, but conquering the Sunken Halls is no easy task. Solve puzzles, explore a deadly maze, and battle the powerful Dungeon Boss for amazing rewards. This dungeon is full of secrets, including the components of a new fishing rod and strange references to a future area..
New Event – Treasure Hunts
Every two hours, global treasure hunts will occur on Desolate Lands. Using cryptic clues, explore the expansive world searching for ancient treasure. Complete Easy, Medium, or Hard hunts, gaining incredible rewards as the difficulty increases. Collect the new Treasure Hunter set or gain all kinds of rarities, including valuable blocks for your Clan Island!
New Town – Lerwick
Explore the new town of Lerwick in the Alta Forest and conquer a new questline. Certain quests, especially in lower levels, will now reward special gear sets to help you on your journey. Other builds in the Plains area have been revamped, including a massive overhaul of the area near the Forgotten Palace. Within these new quests, you may encounter a familiar enemy from long, long ago..
New System – Staked Duels
Risk your honor or items against other players in a fierce one-on-one battle to the death. Customize your fight with options such as potions and mana crystals. And with the brand new King Rank, gain access to special dueling options, including skill damage and cooldown reduction!
Corruption Arrives Once Again..

We’ll let you figure out that last bit. The Conquest Update contains way too much content to explain in a single post, but we hope that we’ve highlighted the main features well. Other cool things coming include a huge Rogue class revamp, clan flags & skills, new Elite Bosses, the King rank, and a new set effect system. Significant game balancing and quality of life changes have also been implemented. We hope you’re as excited for the Conquest Update as we are!
