Halcyon is a lands PvP server that feels like old school Minecraft but on a big handmade world. It tries to be a tough medieval style survival server with a focus on politics war and travel.
The world is custom with large biomes and there is no teleporting. Because of that players build roads waystations and even secret underground railways. The F3 menu is turned off so you have to actually learn navigation or buy lodestone compasses from other players or follow maps. Getting around is a big part of the game.
Progression is slower and the server uses a few rules to make the game harder and to stop cheesy meta play. You get rewarded more for teamwork creativity and picking a role instead of just abusing farms. People succeed by fighting in battles making trade deals building huge cities and fortresses and getting other players to follow their banner.
