There is a PvE survival world where players build in survival mode but do not have to worry about other players attacking them. You only fight mobs. People work together to make towns and cities and the PvE map was reset on September 19 so the world is still pretty fresh. They also do Friday and Saturday games nights with stuff like spleef thimble and ice boat races at set times in eastern time.
There is also a Creative server that uses mixed natural and custom terrain. You can protect your builds and you can use WorldEdit if you want. This is a semi anarchy Minecraft server that tries to stay really close to normal vanilla survival. It has very few rules and almost no extra commands so it feels like real Minecraft but with way more danger.
You can join on a lot of different Java versions from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.10 but they say using 1.21.10 is best so stuff does not break. The server is online all the time and the world border is set really far out so you can travel for a long time.
There are no map resets and no pay to win things. Teleport commands are not a thing and PvP and griefing are fully allowed so you have to be careful who you trust. The only extra command they let you use is spawn so players really far away can still come back and see other people.
They allow using the nether roof and phantoms are removed so nights are a bit less annoying. Only half of the players online are needed to skip the night so it is easier to sleep through it when people agree.
