The server has Towny with nations and towns plus war and geopolitics. The world is bordered and there is server lore with an entity named Misty who watches everything and shows up in different forms to keep things running.
Progression is slower and more earned. Villagers do not just hand out enchanted books. Enchantments are crafted or made at an enchanting table or found as loot. Rare materials are needed and endgame gear takes time so stacked players actually worked for it.
Enchantments are political too. You pick a culture called Power Freedom or Balance and that choice affects what enchantments you can get. To access everything you have to work with other people or make deals.
There are jobs a culture system progression ranks custom enchantments and enchantment tweaks plus MCMMO. You also get chest locks an auction house player warps and player vaults.
War is meant to support politics not heavy griefing. Only nations can go to war with towns and winners can occupy or plunder for money. Raiding items from chests and breaking crops is allowed but destructive griefing is not the vibe.
