Foggy Willows is a server that is actually real vanilla. It runs on the normal minecraft server jar with no datapacks and no plugins at all.
When you join there is no crazy spawn or long story to read. You just appear in the world and start playing. Players are expected to deal with their own social problems so how you play is really up to you.
You can build what you want and play how you want. Technical Minecraft players are welcome here too. The server is always on the latest stable vanilla jar and it is self hosted on a machine that was built just for it.
There are no donations and no world border. There is no tp and no sethome so you have to travel by yourself. The game is on hard mode and it is Java only.
Foggy Willows is meant for people who want all the normal vanilla quirks and challenges without extra stuff added on.

The world has no border and there are no commands like tp or sethome. If you want to go somewhere you have to walk or build your own system. There are no donations and no extra perks so everyone plays on the same level.
The server is set to hard mode so mobs and survival are more dangerous. Players are expected to deal with their own social problems so there is not a lot of hand holding. You can build how you want and play how you want as long as you can handle that.
It is always updated to the latest stable vanilla jar and it is self hosted on a machine just for the server. Technical Minecraft players are welcome here because nothing gets in the way of redstone or farms.

The Tavern SMP is a pure vanilla survival world that feels a lot like Hermitcraft. It is a chill SMP where people want to hang out talk and build cool stuff together.
The server is focused on community builds like towns trading halls and big industrial farms that everyone can use. People are encouraged to interact a lot and work together instead of playing alone.
It is whitelisted so you have to send an application before joining. There is an anti grief plugin but everything else is vanilla. The main rules are no griefing and no profanity. Jokes are fine as long as they do not go too far or hurt anyone.
There is no world border and the world does not reset unless the community votes for it. They also run fun community events sometimes and the players are very laid back and friendly.
Tnt dupers and redstone machines are allowed as long as they do not lag the server too much. Mods like litematica are allowed but not printer or freecam.
There is proximity voice chat to make everything feel more alive and social. If you want a relaxed Hermitcraft style SMP with a nice community this server is trying to be that.
