I found a server that feels like a small experiment with big consequences. It starts as a small group and it never goes over 10 players so every person matters.
It is like a life steal vibe but without stealing hearts from others. When you die you pretty much lose 2 hearts and after you die 5 times total you get banned so you have to play careful.
It supports voice chat and that can make random alliances and betrayals happen fast. There are no land claims so bases can get raided and fights can pop off when people get geared.

Foggy Willows is a server for people who want real vanilla Minecraft. It runs on the normal minecraft server jar with no plugins and no datapacks. There is no crazy spawn area and no tutorial texts everywhere.
You just join and start surviving. You pick where to build. You decide how to play. If you like technical stuff like farms and redstone this server lets you do that with no weird changes.
The world is in hard mode so mobs hit harder and you actually have to think about staying alive. There is no teleport and no sethome so travel is all done by walking boats or nether like normal vanilla.
The server is always updated to the latest stable vanilla version. It is self hosted on a machine made just for it. There are no donations at all so nobody is buying ranks or perks.
