GildedAbyss is a new modded SMP that is all about the community and how people interact with the world. The server is just starting up and Season 1 will begin once enough players join so it feels like a real world from day one.
The world has a ton of new biomes to explore with Biomes O Plenty and Terralith so everything looks fresh and interesting. There are special items you can get with different ways to obtain them so it feels rewarding when you figure it out.
There is also an ancestral archetype system where you pick a sub race in game and use its strengths to your advantage. On top of that there are more ores and new tools and weapons so progression feels more fun and not just the normal vanilla path.
The Create mod is in the pack so you can build machines and contraptions as long as they are reasonable. The owner wants lots of suggestions from players and there will be many events once the server really starts up so the world does not feel empty.
To join you go through a simple ticket style whitelist where you talk to the owner or a moderator and if you seem like a good fit you get added. It feels like they really want a solid and friendly group instead of random chaos.

Hydro SMP is a long term vanilla survival server that focuses on staying grief free and fair. The owners use performance mods and staff tools but the gameplay is still normal Minecraft survival.
The community is really big and active with thousands of people in the Discord. Some players have been around for years and new players join all the time. Big decisions for the server are voted on by everyone so the server feels very community driven.

Rosedalean SMP is a survival server that feels a lot like hermitcraft but with its own style. It is an 18 plus community and you have to apply to join so trolls and griefers do not really make it in.
The server is enhanced vanilla with add ons so you do not need to download mods. It has simple voice chat which makes talking to people easy. There are custom Terralith biomes so exploring the world is way more interesting. There is also a blue map so you can see how the world looks as players explore it.

This is a survival server that feels close to vanilla but with a cool economy system and a really active community. You play survival and slowly build up your money gear and status.

Rattata SMP is a vanilla style server that is meant for players who are 18 or older. It is run on Paper and it lets both Java and Bedrock players join so more friends can play together.
The server tries to stay as close to normal Minecraft as possible. There is no teleport command and no special loot tables and no custom world generation. It runs on hard difficulty and has a live map and 33 percent player sleep and an optional simple voice mod.
The rules are really basic and easy to understand. Do not grief and use common sense. The community is meant to be mature and chill and focused on building and playing together.

PeaMC is a pure survival server that feels like old Minecraft. There is no teleport command and no land claims so you actually have to travel and explore the world. It feels a lot like singleplayer but with other people around you.
The server is crossplay so both Java and Bedrock players can join on versions from 1.7x up to 1.21.11. There are teams you can form with friends so you can build bases and travel together. PvP is allowed so you do have to watch your back but it is not a full anarchy server.
The community is pretty chill and friendly. The owner and mods are active both in game and in Discord so the server does not feel abandoned. There are not a bunch of in your face plugins so the gameplay stays close to classic vanilla survival.
There are clear rules. Hacks and exploits are not allowed. Harassment and slurs are not allowed. Griefing and stealing are not allowed either so you cannot destroy other bases kill pets or loot peoples chests. Spawn killing is also not allowed. GOOMB SMP is a vanilla survival server with amplified terrain and it feels really cool.
The world just reset about three weeks ago so players are still making new bases and projects. There is a 6k by 6k border so everyone is kind of close together which makes the world feel busy and alive. The border will expand later so there will be more room for big base ideas.
The community hangs out a lot on discord talking in chat and in voice calls. People share screenshots of the crazy amplified terrain and they talk about shop plans trades and deals. It feels like everyone is trying to build something together not just play alone.

This is a semi vanilla survival smp where the whole thing is built around community economy and chill gameplay. It feels like one of those servers you can log into every day and always find something to do.
The server uses diamonds as the main currency so you actually want to go mining and then trade your diamonds in player shops. There is a shop gui too so it is easy to browse and buy stuff. It looks like the economy is meant to be fully run by players.
You can claim land with a golden shovel to protect your builds so griefing is not allowed. The server is focused on pve and it also has no keep inventory so dying still matters. They also keep the main world cleaner by using separate resource worlds for gathering.

Foxden is a small Java survival server that feels really chill and friendly. It is mostly semi vanilla so it still looks and plays like normal Minecraft but there are some plugins and datapacks that make it a little more fun.

This is a chill survival server on Java 1.21.11 that is hosted in the UK and it is online all the time so it is really good for UK and Europe players.
The server is 16 plus and a lot of the players are 21 plus. There are around 20 to 25 active players who just like to hang out and play Minecraft together.
The world is split into big themed areas. There is Sol with an ancient style with Aztec and Egypt builds. There is Greenland with an underground theme. There is Extora with sci fi and magic. There is Latvia with a medieval style. There is Metrovia which is like a modern city. There is also an Asian area with temple style builds.
The goal is to make huge immersive environments in each theme. Players build together and make the world look really cool.
