JCSMP is a vanilla style server with an anarchy vibe but it still has rules. Hacking is not allowed and that includes xray. Exploits are not allowed too like chunk bans chunk regens memory overloading and seed cracking. Stream sniping is also not allowed for people who make lives.
The server starts with PvP turned off then after 30 minutes PvP gets turned on. The End is locked at first then it gets enabled one week later. Netherite gear is also paced out so swords and axes get enabled after one month then armor comes later. Enchanted golden apples are locked until two months after start.
Some extra quirks are listed like 2 maces and 1 netherite spear. At the start there are more limits like no totems and no end crystals and no anchors.
Resets happen if the server is not active after 7 months. Then it checks every month after that up to 12 months. At 12 months old it will reset for sure.

FrogSMP is a semi vanilla survival server that wants things to feel wild but still fair. It has pvp and some semi anarchy freedom but cheating and exploiting is a hard no. If you try hacked clients x ray or dupes you are getting clapped by staff.
The pvp rules are serious. You cannot log out to dodge fights and you cannot use the spawn command during combat. There is also a grace period at the start where pvp is off for the first 3 hours so people can get going.
Stealing is allowed only if you are a real enemy. If you are not an enemy then taking stuff is not ok. Griefing anything gets you banned so builds are not meant to get wiped for no reason.
It is Java only so Bedrock players cannot join. Netherite upgrades are disabled so diamond stays important. There is also only one mace for the whole server and whoever crafts it first is the only one who can have it.

I found this semi anarchy survival server that tries to feel like real Vanilla Minecraft with only a few changes. It started on October 11th 2024 and it is hosted in New York City.
It stays online all the time and it lets you join on Java versions from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.11. They say 1.21.10 is the best to use so you do not run into problems.
The world is huge with a 2 million block border and it does not do map resets. There is no teleporting and no pay to win. PvP and griefing are allowed so it can get messy fast.
The only command they allow that is not vanilla is spawn so people far away can get back to civilization. Nether roof is allowed phantoms are removed and only half the players are needed to skip the night.
