Pulsar SMP is a vanilla survival server that feels both competitive and chill at the same time. It is whitelist only and you have to apply so it stays more controlled.
I noticed they care a lot about moderation and they say there is no admin abuse. They also run events and competitions pretty often so there is usually something to do.
One of the main hooks is racing for advancements. If you are one of the first players to complete certain advancements you can get rewards. It sounds fun for pvpers builders and casual players who just want a solid community.
