I found a server idea that is about starting an SMP and looking for people who want to join.
There are not many details posted yet so it feels like it is still being planned and set up.

I found ArcticMC and it is a new SMP that started just a couple days ago. It feels chill and more relaxed than the loud chaos servers.
The main idea is Towny with factions so you can build a town claim land make friends and alliances or try to take territory for yourself. PvP matters here and they use an honor system that is explained in their Discord rules.
It also has McMMO skills so you level up as you play and unlock special abilities like the woodcutting one. There are custom items too and they even have furniture that is entity based so they plan a per chunk limit to help with lag.
The world uses Tectonic generation so the terrain looks realistic with big mountains and valleys and lots of cool places to build. The community is meant to be calm friendly and atmospheric so you can grind build or just vibe.GG.MINEWIND.NET New Server IP
