Kronos SMP is a full earth server on a 1 to 500 scale and the world is totally fresh. There are no old empires or stacked nations or ruined land. Everyone starts together in an empty world.
You pick a real place on the map. You claim it. You defend it. Or you try to take land from other players. It feels like a mix of survival and strategy and pvp at the same time.
The server is about turning small groups into nations. People care about geopolitics more than grinding. There is diplomacy alliances wars and a lot of backstabbing. Power comes from your land and your people not from kits.
Wars actually change borders. Territory can switch hands so nothing is just cosmetic. The economy is player run and admins do not play favorites and there is no pay to win.

It runs on Java Edition and version 1.20.1 and the host is very strong so lots of players can be on without lag. When the map opens it is every person for themselves.

I found this server called Iperios and it is all about making nations. You can start your own nation and make your own government and your own rules and ranks. If you do not want to lead a nation you can just join one that is already made.
The server runs the Allthemods10 ATM10 modpack on version 5.3.1 so you need that installed before you can play. It is whitelist only so you have to join their discord first and ask to get on the list.
When you first join the staff helps you a lot. A staff member shows you around and gives you a beginner kit so you are not totally lost. After that you can go off and build or join a nation and start playing how you like.

Geopol Reforged 1.20.1 is a modded Java server that brings back the old Geopol style of play with a new twist. It is built around historical themed time periods so it feels like you are playing through different eras but in Minecraft.

This server is called Nation States and it is a semi vanilla world built around towny claiming.
The whole point is to make nations and build them up. People are expected to do diplomacy trade and war. The server wants players talking and working together or fighting each other and not just hiding alone.
