Provim is a semi vanilla SMP that tries to keep the classic Minecraft feeling but adds custom stuff that still fits in. The custom features are made by their own team for this server.
You can rank up by playing and it is not pay to win. It feels like you get rewarded for sticking around and putting in time.
There is also a Story Mode adventure across islands with quests and secrets. It works if you want to explore alone or bring friends.
If you want something harder there is a Challenge Isle with custom bosses and tougher fights. The server also runs frequent events like Capture the Flag PvP tournaments and Spleef so the community has stuff to do together.
