    Halcyon is a Lands PvP server made to feel like an immersive medieval world. It was founded by a postgraduate medievalist and it aims for that old school survival feeling while staying on the latest vanilla Minecraft version 1.21.11. It plans to update to 1.26.1 as soon as possible.

    The server is based in Australia but people play from Europe the Americas and Asia too. It usually has around 10 to 30 players online and peaks around 40 to 60 each day.

    The world is handmade and the rules are there to make things harder and slow down progress. It tries to make meta play and heavy automation feel less important. The big wins come from teamwork smart deals research exploring and building huge cities churches groves and forts.

    There is no teleportation so travel really matters. Players end up building roads waystations and even hidden underground railways. Crops and saplings are limited to certain biomes so trading becomes necessary and regions start to feel different.

    Halcyon also keeps a lot of mystery. There is no big wiki guide beyond a basic handbook at spawn. Most knowledge comes from in game books written by players and from talking to scholars elders and mystics around the realm.

    There are also mods like Siege Weapons and Small Ships plus Almiris Weapons and Simple Voice Chat. Even though it has strategy and battles the server tries to keep things civil and respectful. The beef is meant to stay fun and good natured.

    The map is split between noble houses that control their own land. Each house sets taxes for citizens and they still answer to the Crown since the Crown owns all land.

    You pick which house you live under but you can try to climb higher. Loyalty reputation and ambition can help you rise in status and get more influence as the politics shift.

    Exploring matters a lot because enemies scale up as you go further out. The overworld nether and end are overhauled and there are hundreds of new dungeons and structures plus five new dimensions to find.

    There are over 200 quests you can do alone or with friends and some add story and lore. You can spend quest coins in a working quest shop and the pack also focuses on performance and quality of life like backpacks and storage systems.

    There is a lot of side stuff too like master brewing with tons of custom drinks and fishing with over 50 fish plus special rods and baits. Sometimes random encounters happen with special mobs like Bog Frogs and you can also summon bosses for rare loot.
