PurpleSMP is a small survival server that is meant to last a long time. The owner made it because they were tired of putting a ton of hours into other SMPs that just got deleted.
The server uses mcMMO so you can level up different skills and feel your character get stronger over time. There is GriefPrevention so you can claim your land and keep your builds safe from other players.
You can toggle PvP on or off whenever you want so you decide if you want to fight or just chill and build. There are also vaults which are like backpacks for extra storage on your adventures.
The server is crossplay so you can join from different platforms. Discord is required to play because ranks are synced there and it helps keep the community organized.

Prosperia is a no reset SMP where the main world is meant to last a long time. The whole idea is that you can stay on the same map for months and keep building without losing your progress.
The world has custom terrain and custom structures but it still feels like normal survival. It just has more depth without getting super complicated. You earn your progression and there is a player driven economy with jobs and MCMMO and land claiming and some quality of life stuff that makes everything smoother.
The main world never resets so your bases and claims and progress are supposed to stick around. Only the resource world resets so you can still gather new stuff without your builds getting deleted.
The server is run by a small team that clearly cares about balance and polish. They focus on making a solid community instead of trying to get the biggest player count. It is growing slowly on purpose.

SmokeyMC is a Towny survival server where players build towns and either stay peaceful or go to war with other towns. It feels like a mix of chill smp and town strategy.
The server has playtime based ranks and jobs so you level up just by playing and working. There is mcMMO so skills and progression make your character feel stronger over time.
The world uses custom terrain and there are rtp resource and flat worlds so you do not wreck the main builds when you gather stuff. There is also an online server map so you can see towns and battles from a browser.
You can play on both Java and Bedrock because the server has cross play. Bedrock players join by adding Smoky Peaks as a friend and then join their game. After you get to the hub you click the npc on the right to join the Towny world.
There is optional Discord voice chat for people who like talking and the server says it aims for lag free gameplay. Players can make their own shops and use in game balance for trading. There are also fun monthly server events so the community has stuff to do together.

This server is a chill towny vanilla world where people just want to build and hang out. It uses Towny so you can make towns and protect your land which feels really nice when you put a lot of work into your base.
There is MCMMO so your skills level up while you play and you get fun abilities as you keep grinding. You can also use jobs to earn money in your own way and then spend it in a shop that has balanced prices so nothing feels too broken or pay to win.
The server has crates that give fair cosmetic and practical rewards but nothing super overpowered. There is also a treefeller feature that makes chopping trees way smoother which makes building big projects a lot easier.

MODMIX Factions is a server that mixes old school factions with modern Minecraft.
It is made for players who like grinding and PvP and building bases then fighting to keep them. You can raid with TNT and even obsidian has durability so nothing is unraidable. Faction land claims are there so you can protect your area but you still always need to watch your back.
The server uses MCMMO so you level up skills like swords mining and acrobatics. There are duels player vaults and spawner stacking so you can store your stuff fight one on one and build up your spawners.
You earn your rank by playing and using XP in game money and skills instead of just getting it for free. It runs on the latest Minecraft version 1.21.8 and works on both Java and Bedrock so a lot of different players can join.
Overall it feels like classic factions brought into the new version where building and defending your base matters but you should always expect a fight.
