MistyMC is a long term 100 percent vanilla SMP that has been running for around 6 months with no resets.
It supports both Java and Bedrock players on the most recent versions so friends can join together.
People hang out a lot and it has a big tight Discord community. You can start your Minecraft phase with your buddies and try to form a nation or just chill and talk.

Cozyvale is a brand new 18+ vanilla Minecraft server run by a small group of friends. It is made for people who want a cozy community and a simple survival experience.
The server stays vanilla but has some quality of life stuff to make play smoother. It has 40 percent sleep and fast leaf decay and a simple voice mod and dynmap. It also has re dyeable dyed blocks and player and mob head drops and cauldron concrete and reduced mob grief.

LazyCraft is a survival SMP that tries to stay clean and fair. I noticed it has no ranks and it does not take donations. The idea is that everyone gets the same access to the server features right away.
It is built for people who want to actually play the endgame and work on big projects. The server uses lots of plugins and some custom stuff but it is aiming for a more vanilla feel instead of pay to win bloat.
There are land claims that work by chunks and you can make one with a command. There is a shop plot world where players can set up shops and there is a blocks warp with building stacks at a fixed price. You also get teleports like tpa rtp and warps.
If you die your items go into a grave so they do not burn or scatter. There are mob catchers you can craft with an egg and amethyst for moving passive mobs. You also get playtime rewards every 15 minutes.
