Qurim SMP is a pretty chill vanilla world that got super popular really fast. When the new season started it filled up to 50 players in like ten minutes and they had to bump it up to 100. It was kind of crazy watching the player list blow up.
Because so many people were loading new chunks the server started to lag really hard for a while. The MSPT went over 100 and it was almost unplayable for a couple hours. Then they swapped to a custom U Spigot jar and the lag just went away and the server felt smooth again.
The server is meant to be simple vanilla with none of the extra stuff you see on a lot of other servers. No easy commands like tp or free enderchest. You just play survival like normal Minecraft and explore and build.
The community is 16 plus and feels pretty relaxed. People talk using Simple Voice Chat so it is more immersive and it feels like you are actually hanging out with everyone. Anyone can join as long as you like a chill vanilla survival style.
