The Kingdom of Solaria feels like a big fantasy world that just opened its gates and is waiting for new players.
The server is modded and the main thing that stands out is Cobblemon with a bunch of addons. There are powerful raid dens with different types of raids like mega raids tera raids and even legendary and mythical raids. Players can team up to fight these bosses so it feels really cooperative.
There are several extra dimensions with mods like Aether and Eternal Starlight so you can explore a lot of new places. For combat and gear the server uses mods like Simply Swords and Mythic Metals so there are more weapons and metals to mess with.

Ballistic SMP is a Java only server that is all about PvP and combat. The whole thing is built around fighting other players in duels or team battles so you win by skill and timing instead of broken gear or cheap stuff.
The server has four super rare mythic weapons and one mythic armor set. Each one is linked to an elemental guardian like Air Water Fire and Death. You do not just find them lying around. You have to earn them from quests events and really good combat.
There is no griefing and no stealing allowed. That means your base and your progress are protected so people focus on actual PvP instead of ruining builds. It keeps the server competitive but still fair.
The world has deep lore about the four guardians. You can uncover the story through quests hidden relics and events that change the future of the server. A lot of events happen like air drops that cause sudden PvP fights lore events that push the story and special events for getting pieces of the mythic gear.

Nation States is a new semi vanilla server that is built around towny and claiming land.
The whole idea is to make nations and build up your own power. Players are pushed to use diplomacy trade and war to grow. It really wants people to interact and not just hide in a hole.

ShovelCraft is a semi vanilla SMP that is all about cooperation and long term play. It is focused on storytelling and a shared world instead of speed running to the end of the game.
The world has two big zones. In the Green Zone there is no pvp no stealing and no griefing. There are no generated structures there so people just build towns shops and cool lore stuff. In the Red Zone pvp is on and stealing is allowed and you can find normal vanilla structures. It is made for exploration and organized conflict but still no random griefing.
The End is disabled so there are no elytras and no shulker farms. People travel by land sea and Nether and it makes the world feel bigger and slower in a good way. The server is meant to last a long time with no planned resets.

Misted Lands is a new Minecraft roleplay server that just opened and it feels like a dark fantasy story you play inside.
The world is cursed by the tragedy of Anya and her father Yosif. Because of their story the land is sealed by magic and full of undead. Zombies skeletons huge spiders and other horrors keep attacking. Daytime only gives a short break and people who live here are just trying to survive.
The server is modded with RPG mechanics like classes and leveling. There are also quality of life mods that help with transport maps crafting farming and building so you can focus on roleplay and survival instead of only grinding.
