Outercraft is a modded SMP set in a medieval fantasy world. The cool part is that the whole story is made by the players. There are no rules about how you have to start. You can begin alone or with friends and you decide who your character is and what they will become.
The world feels really wild and dangerous. You deal with the weather and monsters while you explore. As you wander you find settlements that other players built and each place has its own history and drama. You can join their fights and alliances or just watch everything happen and pick a side later.
This server is perfect if you like worldbuilding. You can make your own town or base and tie it to whatever gods or goals you want. People can form alliances cults and religions and they might grow huge or fall apart as the server changes over time.
The community is small but it has been around since August 2024. They do not wipe player progress. Sometimes unclaimed land gets refreshed so the world still looks nice. The whole server feels like a long term roleplay and worldbuilding project that is led by the players who join.

This is a creative city build server that feels like a long running world. The map is custom and really big and everyone is focused on building cool cities and towns together.
There is optional geopolitical roleplay so players can mark claims and even towns on the map and make their own stories. If you do not like roleplay you can still just build and hang out. The roleplay is not forced.
The community is tight knit and people seem pretty active. Staff and players are around a lot and they talk about life and also give build advice. People team up on projects and do worldbuilding together.
You have to join and do a short application first. It is mostly there to keep out griefers and to give trusted players tools like world edit and other helpful commands. The rules sound laid back but still focused on keeping the server safe.
