The Garden SMP is a Java 1.21.11 survival towny role play server that also supports Bedrock players. It is new player friendly and there are no join restrictions.
The whole vibe is worldbuilding and adventure and roleplay. Players make towns and nations in the overworld then go on big adventures in alternate dimensions and build stories together.
You can protect builds with Towny and set up chest shops to sell stuff with no forced economy. There is a Devotions system where you can be a priest or cultist or a devote worshipper of a god and get rewarded for being pious. Multiverse lets you explore your gods realm and there are lots of quality of life features too.
It is meant to be relaxed with optional challenges if you want them. The server says it is not pay to win and it is run as a passion project with active attentive staff and a small thriving community.

I saw that the vibe is very open ended. You can farm and chill or build a kingdom and bring other players in or try to become rich and respected. The point is to let the server grow in whatever direction the players push it and let stories happen over time.
