This is a brand new survival smp that just started and it is completely vanilla. There are no plugins at all right now and the owner only wants to add plugins if the players vote for them.

Luminary Falls is a long term Minecraft SMP that is made for adults who want a cozy place to play. It is a whitelist only 18 plus server and there are players from all over the world so there is activity almost all the time.
The server runs Minecraft 1.21.8 on Java and has full Bedrock crossplay so friends on different platforms can still play together. It uses quality of life plugins and datapacks that keep the normal survival feeling but make things smoother and more fun.
There are separate resource worlds so the main world does not need to reset. That means your builds can last for years and you can keep adding to them without worrying they will be wiped. The staff has over 20 years of combined experience and they keep an uplifting and LGBTQ plus friendly environment.

This server is called EarthScaleMC and it is a brand new world. The idea is a 1 to 1000 scale map of planet Earth so everything feels like a tiny version of the real world.

EarthPol is a geopolitical Minecraft server on a detailed Earth map where players build towns and nations. It focuses on strategy survival war and diplomacy so it feels more like a big world sandbox than a normal SMP.

This server is called Vanillacraft SMP and it feels like older Minecraft servers.
Everything here is almost fully vanilla and there are barely any plugins. There is a graves plugin you can even turn off and one custom plugin that only shows server info like shop locations and coordinates. It does not change how the game plays at all.
The world is built by the community and for the community. There are no instant teleports and no big admin shops that sell everything. You have to explore trade and work with other players like the game was meant to be played.

This is a creative city build server where everyone works together to make a giant world. The map is custom and really big so there is tons of room to build.
You can apply to get access to world edit and other useful commands. The application is short and it is mostly there to keep out griefers. Once you are in you can show what you can build and grow your own area.
There is optional geopolitical roleplay. Players can claim land that gets shown on the map and then build towns and settlements. Some people do lore and worldbuilding and add to an ongoing story. If you do not want to roleplay you can just focus on building your city.

Misted Lands is a new Minecraft roleplay server that is just starting out and it feels really story based. The world is about a healer named Anya who was loved by everyone until zealots called her a witch and killed her. Her dad Yosif lost it and cursed the land with a huge magic wall and now the dead never rest and monsters keep attacking every night.
The server uses mods to add RPG mechanics like classes and leveling. There are also quality of life mods that help with transport sorting maps crafting recipes farming and building so it is not only hard and scary but also more comfortable to play.

Lodestone is a Minecraft geopolitics and worldbuilding server that is going into a closed beta. It tries to give a fresh twist on the usual town and war style.
The main thing I noticed is the spice trade system. You harvest different spices and sell them at spawn and the land you control changes how good your spices are. This makes people want to fight over the best land so the economy and wars actually feel connected.
The server also uses Towny so players can make towns and nations and go to war with each other. There are chest shops so anyone can set up a shop with a chest and a sign and trade items with other players.

Lodestone is a Minecraft server that mixes geopolitics and worldbuilding in one place. It is built around custom ideas that you do not really see on other servers in this genre.
