SupaSMP is a survival server that feels really clean and polished and still kind of close to vanilla. It has skills jobs quests and a smooth progression system so you get stronger just by playing normally.
There are four main worlds you can teleport to. There is a main survival world then a mining world plus nether and end. That way people can grab resources without destroying the main survival world.
While you play you level up unlock perks do quests and advance in different jobs. You also earn money and use a player based economy with player shops trading an auction house and daily rewards.
The paid stuff is cosmetic only like tool skins tags emojis and pets. There is no pay to win so everyone plays fair.
If you like pvp there is an arena supply drops koth events and dungeons with custom mobs that you can choose to run. If you just want to chill you can build farm explore and hang out with a friendly community that supports all playstyles.
The server works on both Java and Bedrock and it is made for version 1.21 and plays best on 1.21.8.

WithTheCat is a modded Minecraft community that has been around for more than 13 years and it really feels like a long running world of friends.
The server is hosted in Finland on strong hardware so it is made for long sessions and big modded worlds. Right now they run NeoTech Reborn Vault Hunters and their own custom WithTheCat Second Edition modpack. The focus is on expert mode style play so it is meant for people who enjoy harder progression and deep modpacks.

Creation Network is a survival bending server where combat really matters. The whole gamemode mixes survival with PvP and elemental powers so it feels different from normal servers.
You get custom abilities and there are more elements planned. The world has custom terrain in the overworld the nether and the end so exploring actually feels new. There are also custom enchantments and over one thousand quests so there is always something to grind. The economy is meant to be balanced so progress feels fair.
One of the coolest things is the avatar system. When there are ten players online the server randomly picks one player to become the avatar. Everyone can see it in chat or in a menu. If the avatar dies another player gets picked. The avatar gets all four elements and special avatar only abilities so fights get really intense.
Some items like netherite ingots and the mace are not normally obtainable. You can only get them from the traveling merchant or from certain chest loot. That makes those items feel super rare and valuable.
There is also a clan system. You can build a clan with other players make alliances or mark other clans as enemies. It is clearly built to be competitive and to reward groups that work together.
The server supports both Java and Bedrock. Versions go from 1.8 to 1.21 plus the latest Bedrock version so pretty much anyone can join.

So I found this new server called GeoSMP and it is a vanilla Earth style world. It is really new and the owners worked super hard on it so it feels really balanced and fun.
Right now they just want more players of all ages to join and help grow the community. It is a nice place if you want a fresh start on a server that could turn into something big.

Mincecef SMP is a survival server that feels like classic Minecraft. It is mostly vanilla and the server does not hold your hand. There are no easy commands like shop or tpa so you have to travel and trade the old school way.
The world is huge and the border was expanded from 50k by 50k to 300k by 300k. The nether and end also got bigger so there is a lot of loot and land for bases and big projects. There are no world resets so your builds and memories stay.

This server is called MCVerse and it is made for people who want to build big long term projects without resets or grief. The world is permanent and has already been running for years so it really feels like a long term home.
The main survival is basically classic vanilla survival with some extra tools. There are land claims markets clans a map and some small quality of life stuff. This server is called Eden and it is built like a big long term civilization world where players shape everything. It is not a normal factions server or a chill SMP. It is made to last for months and years so what you build and do actually matters.
