SFTV Earth 2 is a Minecraft server that tries to feel like a real world map with towns and nations. It uses Towny so players can make their own towns start cultures form nations and shape history over time.
The server is all about geopolitics and big stories. Players can rise up as rulers or just be important citizens who help build something that lasts. There is a lot of open land so new people still have space to start fresh towns or even try to make an empire.
The server has already been running for a couple weeks and it sounds like they had some ups and downs but overall things have gone really well. People are building all over the world and there are screenshots showing cool places and builds.

Sweet Serenity is a Minecraft network that feels really calm and relaxed. It has custom survival skyblock and a creative world so there is something for almost every type of player.

I found this server and it filled up so fast.
They hit like 60 people in under half an hour which is kind of insane. It feels super active and there is always something going on.
Everybody seems to just hop on and start playing right away. It looks like a place where you join and you instantly have people around you.
If you like busy servers with a lot of players online at the same time this one is actually pretty cool to watch.

This is a really old Minecraft server that has been running since 2011 and the map has never been reset. When you join you are walking into like 14 years of builds fights and stories and a lot of the older players still play.
The server is vanilla style survival with PvP always on and it is set to hard mode. There are no extra kits no vote rewards and no commands like home to save you. You just spawn in and whatever happens is based on your own skill and decisions.
There are rules but they are simple. No hacking at all so no fly mods no xray and no weird cheaty exploits. Also no doxxing or creepy real life stuff. If you want an advantage you actually have to earn it in game.
Most of the regular players are adults who can handle PvP but a lot of them like building exploring or just chilling and talking in chat. It feels like an old school survival server where people make their own groups and bases and enemies.

HomesteadCraft is a survival server that is only for adults 21 and older. The world has been running for about four years and it never gets reset. It just gets expanded when new updates come out so you can build long term stuff and not worry about losing it.
The community feels small and chill. There is no drama and no kids. People there like big builds and huge projects and you can really tell because the world has been around so long.
The server runs Java 1.21.8 and uses a few quality of life plugins. There is one player sleep normal difficulty and antigrief claims. You also get aura skills and an acuteloot plugin. Most plugins can be turned off if you do not like them.
They have separate resource worlds for the overworld the nether and the end that reset every week. The main world does not reset so your main base is always safe.

Crafinity is a chill survival server where people just hang out and play the newest update. It runs on 1.21.8 and it lets both Java and Bedrock players join so everyone can play together.
The server is mostly classic survival but it has some cool extra stuff. You can take jobs and do quests and level up skills with McMMO so you always feel like you are getting stronger. There is also a player economy where you can make your own shops and set your own warps.

CaveMC is a wild survival server where the whole overworld is underground. There is no normal surface at all. You spawn into a huge cave world with custom generation and it feels really different from regular Minecraft.
The server is semi anarchy so survival is pretty brutal and you have to be smart to stay alive. People can fight and things can get rough. It is still enhanced vanilla though so it feels like Minecraft but turned up a lot.
Season 2 just started so everyone basically gets a fresh start. The caves are full of different biomes resources and structures to explore. You can wander for a long time and still find new places.
There is also a special Wasteland dimension that opens on November 8. It has its own custom map new powerful gear mega structures and a unique currency. That means a whole new economy based on what you find there and how you trade with other players.

This server is called CheesyCraft Redux and it is a semi vanilla survival world. It runs on version 1.21.11 so it is pretty up to date.
The owner and staff make their own custom features just for this server. The code is done by the team and a lot of the textures are made by the community so it still feels like normal Minecraft but with a unique look.
