If you die you are not fully done forever. You can earn a revive back to the Overworld by winning the weekly Sunday competition. There is also a Sunday team competition at 11CT and prizes can include a revive or an advancement shout out.
You start in a Spawn Ship until you feel ready to jump in. If you hold a bone block you can see the current top scoring players.
The world uses an Apocalypse DataPack so mobs get weird and dangerous. Zombies can turn players into zombies when they kill them.
