TerraCraft is a new geopolitical Earth style Minecraft server where players make nations and fight for land.
The server runs with no mods and just uses plugins and resource packs so you basically do not have to download anything to play. It is easy to join and start building your own country.
There are regular events that keep the world active so you can get involved with what is happening on the whole server and not just your base.
The server also has a custom bot that connects Minecraft chat to Discord so people on Discord can see messages and when players join.
The version is 1.21 Java and the main goal is to forge your own nation and conquer land in a shared Earth style world.

From what I can tell the server is set up for players who like to make cool bases but still want combat and battles.

This server is called sVanilla Survival and it is all about old school survival and sword pvp. It has been around since 2019 and the whole idea is no cheating and real pvp raiding where only the strong survive.
The combat here is focused on melee so crystals and anchors are disabled. They patched things like breach swapping and there is a combat tag system. You cannot use elytra in combat and totems have an eight second cooldown so fights feel more fair and skill based.
The world is big with a large overworld plus nether and end so you can go far away to build or stay close to spawn for more action. The map does not reset so anything you build can stay there for a long time.
There are some quality of life commands like teleport ignore and sethome but the server still feels very close to vanilla. The economy has no plugins and is based on trading with other players. TNT dupers with pistons and slime are allowed so you can make farms or massive destruction machines.
You are allowed to raid grief pvp team up or even betray people as long as you follow the fair play rules. It feels like an older style SMP where players control the world and the server just lets it all happen.

This is a semi vanilla survival smp that feels really cozy and community based. The world is brand new and it just opened in July 2025 so everyone is still building up and exploring.
The server has custom coded stuff with custom items and armor. There is chunk claiming so you can protect your base and build with friends without worrying about random griefers. It is normal survival but keep inventory is on so dying is not as painful and you can focus more on building and adventures.
The community is a big deal here. The server is anti pay to win and you can unlock everything just by playing. Voting is totally optional but if you like to vote they even do a monthly voting competition. If you vote every day for a month they give you a big voucher reward.
There are community events and the players like to work together on things like fighting the Ender Dragon and going for the monthly dragon egg. The server used to exist before and shut down in 2023 but now it is revived with new ownership and is run by the original players so it has some nice nostalgia vibes.
If you want a relaxed survival server with claims keep inventory and an active community this one feels like a good place to just log on hang out and survive together.

This server is called GG SMP and it is a survival world with a lot of extra stuff added on top. It has custom items skills bosses and an economy so there is always something to grind and upgrade.
The main feature is Towny so you can create towns with your friends and protect your builds. There are skills you can level with Auraskills and you get rewards for grinding them. There are also custom recipes and custom warps so moving around and crafting feels different.
The economy is a big deal here. There is an in game shop where you grind items and sell them for money. There is also an auction house where players sell items to each other. Because of that the server has a pretty busy and active economy and community.
The server performance is strong and it keeps a steady 20 TPS during gameplay. You can also link Discord so people can chat from Discord to the server and back which helps the community stay connected even when they are not online in game.

This is a really wild server called CaveMC and it is on Season 2 right now. The whole overworld is underground so there is no surface at all. Everywhere you go you are in caves with different biomes and resources and structures all under the ground. It feels like normal Minecraft but also super different and kind of scary.
The server is semi anarchy and survival is pretty brutal. People can fight and grief so only really smart and careful players last long. You need to be good at hiding bases and gathering gear or you will get wiped fast.
There is a new Wasteland Dimension that opens on November 8. It is not just a biome. It is like a big new world with its own custom map. In there you can find brand new powerful gear and huge mega structures with secrets and loot. The Wasteland even has its own currency with a new economy so players can trade and build up wealth in a different way.
There is also a new spawn for this season that fits the Wasteland theme and makes the start feel fresh. Overall the server is for players who like hard survival and underground adventures and do not mind chaos and danger around every corner.

This is a fantasy and steampunk Minecraft roleplay server called Spells Gears n Bells RP. When I joined it felt like walking into a story world instead of just another survival map.
The server uses mods like Create Iron's Spells and Spellbooks and Incendium plus a bunch more. There are also data packs like Origins Datapack Stellarity and new dungeon datapacks that change how the game feels a lot. You get powers explore new dungeons and mess with cool machines and magic.
You make your own original character and step into the land of Mystodia. You can explore the world meet other players and learn what is going on in the lore. You can help create new stories or try to solve the mysteries that are already there.
Roleplay is the main focus of the server but you do not have to stay in character all the time. You can chill out of character when you want and then jump back into the story when you feel like it. It feels like a relaxed place where people like fantasy and steampunk and want to help shape a growing world.

Oathwood SMP is a survival server with towny and an economy. It feels like a place where people want to build a long term world and not just rush through everything.

This server is called CheesyCraft Redux and it is a semi vanilla survival world. It feels like normal Minecraft but with some custom features that are made just for this server.
The owner and staff code their own content and the community helps make textures so the game still looks and feels like Minecraft. There are some quality of life commands and features so it is easier to play but it does not feel like a crazy modpack.
They do not spam you with crates or random cosmetics or stuff that feels like bloat. It is more about quality over quantity and just playing survival with some nice upgrades.
There is grief protection and voice chat plus tools to keep the world safe. The people who work on the server are also builders and programmers so they really care about how it looks and plays.
If you want a survival server where the extras are made by the community and not just bought this place seems good.

This server is trying to be like those big donut smp style worlds but in a smaller chill way. It has an economy so you can earn and spend money instead of just grinding alone.
Each player gets a 16×16 plot so you have your own little spot to build and not get in other peoples way. It feels organized but still simple.
There is a shop command so you can buy and sell stuff and it makes survival feel more like a little town world. The owner is just looking for kind players who want to help the server grow and not be toxic.
Anyone can join and it really feels like they want a friendly community more than sweaty tryhard pvp. If you like small servers that are starting out and want to be there from the beginning this one seems pretty good.
