Verdantia MC is a new survival server that just opened so everyone is starting fresh together. It runs on both Java and Bedrock so friends on different devices can still play on the same world.
The server is focused on survival with a bunch of extra features like jobs and a full economy system. You can earn money with different jobs then use it in the shop or auction house to buy and sell items. There are ranks you can work toward and rewards you get just for playing more.

This is a Jujutsu Kaisen style Minecraft server called Kokushin. The whole world is about sorcerers and curses and only the strongest really matter. Everything feels very hardcore and it uses a perma death system so if you die it actually means something.
You can try to be a lone wolf and master jujutsu by yourself and become super strong. Or you can look for power through other players and build an empire over jujutsu society. There are clans with rank systems but right now the server is only accepting rogues so you can not join a sorcerer clan. You have to be a rogue or join a rogue organization.
The server has wars and claims and rogues and different events. There are bounties and bosses. You can fight on a tower for really good rewards and fight bosses to get their skills. There are raids you can conquer and a lot of the gameplay connects to the lore.
The whole server is very lore based and not limited to only JJK even if that is the base of it. It feels like a serious world where your choices and your deaths actually matter and where power and story are a big deal.

SteadySMP is a Java survival server in the OCE region. It is a whitelisted smp so you have to apply before you can join.
The owner is looking for around 30 players who are really consistent. They want people who can play at least a few hours a day and who actually like to grind. If you rage quit all the time this is probably not for you.
The server is meant for players who want to stick around and build up a world together over time. It is more about steady progress and a stable group than random people joining and leaving.

The server is all about player economy. You can rent trade halls at spawn and run your own shop so the players control the market. It makes getting rich and trading with others a big part of the gameplay.
There are daily quests and rewards so the grind does not feel boring. You always have something to do instead of just mining all day.
They also have random teleport so you can find a place for your base fast. There are jobs you can do and unique cosmetics to show off. It runs on Java 1.21.1 plus.

TrappedMC is a non op prison server that feels like an old school classic but with modern ideas. It is made for players who are tired of crazy pay to win stuff and casinos everywhere. The server is more about grinding ranks and playing the game than about spending money.
The owner is a developer and has packed the server with a lot of custom plugins and tested everything for a long time. The whole thing is built to feel fair and balanced so progress feels earned and not just lucky. The community is important here and player feedback actually turns into changes.
While you mine you can find special GPUs and GPU parts that go into a GPU rack. These give you passive rank up income while you keep mining so the more you play the more it builds up. This server is called MODMIX Factions and it feels like old school factions but on a newer version.
You grind a lot here. You fight other players and you build bases that actually get attacked. TNT raiding is a thing and obsidian has durability so you cannot just hide forever.
There are faction land claims but it is not about making unraidable bases. You need to build and defend and expect people to try and break in.
The server uses MCMMO so you level up skills like swords mining and acrobatics. There are duels player vaults and spawner stacking. You also earn your rank by using XP in game money and your skills instead of just getting it for free.
It runs on the latest version 1.21.8 and you can join on Java or Bedrock. Overall it feels like OG factions brought into a modern server with a focus on grinding PvP and real raiding.
