Infinity Cube SMP is a vanilla style survival server that has been running since 2020 so it feels like a real long term world instead of a quick throwaway map.

This server is called MineRealm and it is one of the longest running SMP servers I have seen. It has been online since 2010 and more than two hundred thousand players have joined over the years. The world is smaller at first and slowly expands so new land always uses the latest Minecraft version.

The gameplay is focused on survival and is fully legit. There is no pay to win and no item spawning. Everything you see was gathered and built by players. There are no fancy spawned in hubs or prefab structures so the whole world feels really player made.

MineRealm uses a classic plot system and grief protection so your builds stay safe. They have their own protection plugin and also use CoreProtect so griefing is not really a thing here. The server tries to stay close to vanilla but adds a few custom plugins to make community stuff and long term survival feel better.

Another cool thing is they do not reset the world. So if you build something big it will stay there for the long run. There is also public infrastructure already developed to help new and old players travel and grow.

Bone Voyage is a pirate themed SMP that is trying to be a long term home for players. The server already has funding for a long time so it does not feel like one of those random worlds that vanish in a week.

From what I can see you can build safely if you just want to chill and make a cool base. You can also jump into pvp if you like fighting other players. They even have a skyblock mode if you want a different challenge.

WithTheCat is a modded Minecraft community that has been around for more than 13 years and it really feels like a long running world of friends.

The server is hosted in Finland on strong hardware so it is made for long sessions and big modded worlds. Right now they run NeoTech Reborn Vault Hunters and their own custom WithTheCat Second Edition modpack. This is a wild survival server called 1fighter2defenders or 1f2d. I found it and it is basically no rules at all. There are no map resets so every block that gets placed or broken just stays and the world keeps getting older.

The server started on April 26 2021 so it has been running for years. Thousands of players have joined at least one time. You can grief you can build and you can cheat. Everything goes here and there is no protection.

The main version right now is 1.21 and you can join with versions from 1.17 up to 1.21.10. If you like chaos and an old world that never resets this server is made for that.
