  Knockturn Networks has been open for 9 years as of January 2023! We feature custom plugins written and designed by professional developers, in addition to a map that has been built, renovated, and expanded over time, with many secret passages, as well as nooks and crannies to explore.

  You will get lost in the castle! Though there is a custom guide plugin to help you on your way, as well as a tutorial and a quick start menu to get people going!

  Join today and select from our three gender options! Wizard, Witch, or Wix, the last is our non-binary option! We are originally based on Harry Potter, that much is obvious, though we have gradually changed small things to make our environment more welcoming for those of all walks of life!

  Our houses are now Fenixfyre (Gryffindor), Melismour (Hufflepuff), Celestine (Ravenclaw), and Serpentine (Slytherin), the names of which were chosen by the community rather than just the current staff. We primarily are based on Harry Potter, but to make it more our own, we have been working on expanding not only on the naming, but also the lore. Our quests and lessons teams have worked tirelessly to update our older lessons and to add more quests so they are more interactive and fun!

  Our spell system is entirely unique! Instead of just casting the spell or using mana, we have a spell system that is based on wand movements, where each spell has its own unique movement. When you start, you will have to verbally say the spell name when casting, but you can eventually reach a point of non-verbal casting! We have over 400 spells to learn, discover, and unlock!

  The experience is also customized towards you. When you first enter the server, you will take a quiz that will determine your personality as well as your house. This quiz will also allow you select a first name, but give you a random last name to hopefully link you with other students. Custom stats are applied to the last name you pick, as well as the personality you end up with, as well as whichever wand type you end up with. Depending on all these custom stats, your journey may be different from another user’s, though the difference is not so much to make the game not playable in your own way.

  Once you are in the server, you can fight mobs, play mini games, and attend classes. Our classroom system is both automated, but also has the option of having live professors. The Automated system is a required method to allow users to attend classes in their own time without having to depend on the whims and schedules of real people. You will be able to attend classes at your own pace, where classes are every hour on the hour, get grades, and take exams to move to the next year! If a live professor teaches, you can get spell experience from their classes, but also partake in fun roleplay options!

  Our money systems is based on a physical item in your inventory, Gambits (Galleons), Sybits (Sickles), Bits (Knuts), which are all on a base 10 system to make it easier for the every day user to calculate. Other fun things include candies that have magical effects, custom pets, and more!

  Unique method of getting around the server! Floo Fires are used to travel about our server most efficiently, by popping a bit of floo dust into any known floo fire, walking into the fire, and speaking your destination while standing in the flames! Accidentally say the wrong name, oh well! it will ditch you at a random floo fire! We also feature portkeys, apparation (with a license) and of course brooms!

  We are fully a free-to-play server, ensuring that every user can completely play on the server without having to worry about someone advancing further or getting advantages over another. Every item in our donation store is 100% cosmetic and has no effect on game play.

  If you do not like your starting House, Gender, Name, these things are changeable either freely after reaching year two, or with in game currency.
