All Outta Blocks is a semi vanilla Java server that is built around community and player interactions. Season 2 started March 13th and it has been going strong with lots of new and returning players.
This season focuses on a player driven economy. It uses chest shops and mcmmo so you can trade and build up your skills while still keeping the survival feel. People are encouraged to use proximity chat and to live near others in one of the server communities.

I found a long term survival multiplayer server that is meant to be really hard and intense. It is hardcore style where dying gets you banned for 12 hours so every fight matters.
It runs on hardmode and natural regeneration is turned off. That makes food and healing super important and it feels more like a real struggle.
