Reforged SMP is a vanilla style server that was made by someone who always wanted their own world since they were a kid. Now they finally learned some coding and used it to build a server with a lot of care and planning.

Tinkers Tavern is an 18 plus Minecraft community that has been running for around two years and it feels really stable and relaxed.

Bone Voyage is a pirate themed SMP that is trying to be a long term home for players. The server already has funding for a long time so it does not feel like one of those random worlds that vanish in a week.

I found this survival server called Smithtainment Minecraft and it feels like a real home online. They have been running games for over ten years so it feels pretty stable and well made. The server is on hard mode and it still feels kind of vanilla but with a bunch of extra quality of life stuff.
