The Ancient World is a survival world that has been around for a very long time and it is made for narrative driven roleplay.
It started way back in July 2010 on Minecraft Alpha v1.0.4 as a single player survival world then it became a private server in early 2011 and later turned public that same year.
The big thing is there are no resets and the world has been kept going for 15 years so everything feels like real server history. It is on Minecraft 1.21.11 and it uses a whitelist so you have to apply to join.

There are no gameplay rules and there are no admins running around fixing stuff. There are no land claims and no protection so anything can happen. Griefing building and cheating are all allowed and it is basically anything goes
They also say there are no server sided dupes and the world does not reset. The server started in April 2021 so it has been around for a long time and lots of players have visited
