This server is called UneasyVanilla and it is a semi anarchy vanilla world. It tries to stay close to the original Minecraft vision and it has a world that is over four years old.
When you first join you spawn in a totally wrecked area. Spawn is full of lavacasts and grief which kind of looks like a maze. You have to escape this mess and then you can go explore and make bases anywhere.
The server mixes anarchy style freedom with survival gameplay. There are still some rules so it is not total chaos. The rules seem mostly about keeping the server fair and running well and stopping cheaters.
The staff are active and they focus on banning cheaters and protecting the performance of the server. Because of that the world feels dangerous but not ruined by hacks.
The community feels like a tight group that likes a relaxed but risky survival style. You can find random encounters with other players while exploring. You can team up with people start alliances or just test your survival skills and build big projects.
