This is a small semi vanilla SMP called The Lab and it just started a fresh season. The players feel like a tight group and new people are invited to join and become part of the community.
Everyone begins inside a smaller world border that is 2k by 2k. This keeps people close to each other at the start so the world does not feel empty. The border is planned to expand after about a week.
The server uses proximity voice chat so talking to other players feels natural when you walk near them. There is also a shopping district that is built above an open ancient city at spawn so the center of the world feels pretty cool.
The server runs Minecraft version 1.21.11 and is hosted in Germany. Sleep is set to 20 percent so only a few players need to be in bed to skip the night. Enderman griefing is turned off so they do not steal blocks.
The End is closed for the first week. After that everyone will go together to fight the dragon as a group event. If you like semi vanilla survival and playing close to other people this server feels like a nice place.
